Inti Initiative

With so many obstacles on the road to gender equality, women all over the world often find themselves dealing with hardships and inequality brought about by unfortunate circumstances or lack of education and employment opportunities.

But women are beyond capable, not only of supporting themselves and their families, but of leading entire communities.

Believing that these strengths and capabilities should be celebrated, Al-awwal launched “Inti”, an initiative aimed at encouraging and empowering women to have power and control over their own lives, spurring productivity and economic growth.

Al-awwal chose ambitious women from different parts of Sudan, with different backgrounds, and provided them with baking skills, business start-up courses, equipment, tools, and other resources to help them succeed and inspire others.
